Unusual sculpture stolen from Hotwells gallery

Police are appealing for help to recover an unusual sculpture valued at more than �3,000, taken from a Bristol gallery.

The sculpture by Clare Ferguson-Walker was taken from the View Art Gallery in Hotwells Road on Saturday.

A man and a woman entered the gallery and the man snatched the sculpture, valued at �3,100, after a member of staff was distracted. The man then left the premises.

The woman suspect was challenged by a member of staff who was verbally abused by the woman, who also left the gallery.

Police are urging members of the public and retailers to be vigilant for the unique sculpture.
