MORE runners are needed to sign up to the Arnos Vale Community Run on the Bank Holiday of May 7.
This is the first year for the community run, which the cemetery hopes to develop into an annual fundraising event for the local community.
Runners will take on a 2km or 5km run and anyone over 15 years old needs to commit to raising a minimum sponsorship of £30.
Runners can choose to raise all their money for Arnos Vale Cemetery or give 50 per cent to a charity, school or community group of their choice.
So far runners have signed up to raise funds for Arnos Vale Cemetery, Marie Curie Cancer Care, St Peter's Hospice, the Wallace & Gromit Grand Appeal, The Rainbow Centre and the Alzheimer Society.
Juliette Randall, chief executive of Arnos Vale Cemetery said: "Arnos Vale Cemetery is a wonderful resource for the whole community and we are really excited that individuals, community groups and businesses are signing up for the run to help us safeguard the future of the Cemetery and have the opportunity to raise funds for a second charity of their choice.
"As well as the run there will be plenty of other activities on the day to make it a fun filled day for everyone."
