AN estimated 250,000 people crowded into the Mall and St James's Park in London to watch a star-studded diamond jubilee concert.
So many people crowded in to watch the concert on big screens that police declared the areas full and directed latecomers to Hyde Park.
The crowds were in addition to the 10,000 people who won tickets to the concert arena outside Buckingham Palace in a public ballot.
With the Duke of Edinburgh in hospital, the Queen was joined in the royal box by the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and many other royals as well as Prime Minister David Cameron and wife Samantha.
Performers included Kylie Minogue, Stevie Wonder, Robbie Williams and Sir Paul McCartney.
